How to get to Rauris from the UK
To get to Rauris from the UK you can fly to Salzburg Airport W.A Mozart from here it is then approximately a 1 hour drive to Rauris. Or you can also fly to Innsbruck, from which it is about a 2 hour drive. Ryanair, BA, bmi baby, FlyBe, Jet2 and Thomson Fly all fly from the UK to Salzburg and TUI Fly, Easy Jet, Lufthansa and Sky Europe all fly from the UK to Innsbruck.
Car Hire
At the airport you can hire vehicles from Hertz, Argus Rentals, Sixt and Avis.
Directions to Rauris from the airport:
- Follow signs to the A10 for Villach. Stay on until junction 47 signed to Bischofshofen. Then pick up signs for Zell am See.
- After approximately 40 kilometers on the 311 go through Taxenbach and look out for a right turn just after this village for Rauris.
- Keep on going for approximately 7 kilometres and you should then see the spire of the Rauris church on your left.
- Take the exit at Rauris Nord (North) and stay on the Rauriserstrasse road, until you take a left into Marktstrasse, where Hotel Rauriserhof is located.
Train journeys to Rauris via Taxenbach:
If you fly to Salzburg, you will need to go to the main train station. Bus no. 2 goes at regular intervals (every 10 min.) between Salzburg main railway station and Salzburg Airport.
For Sundays and public holidays buses run every 20 min. Journey time is approximately 20 minutes. The cost for a single adult ticket is Euro 2,- and children Euro 1.- Tickets are available from the bus driver. Alternatively you can jump into a taxi, prices from the Salzburg Airport and the main train station should not exceed 14 Euros.

- Last Bus: train station - airport: 22h54
- First Bus: airport - train station: 05h36 (Sat 05h56, Sun 06h21)
- Last Bus: airport - train station: 23h16 (Fri/Sat/Sun 00h30)
Once you are at the main train station, you can take the train to Taxenbach which is the next village from Rauris (Approximately 6 km away) and take a taxi the rest of the way. You can also take a train to Zell Am See which is approximately ½ hour from Rauris and will again require a transfer to Rauris.
Directions by car from Italy:
Drive towards Udine and continue on the Autobahn A23 towards Villach. Change to the A10 towards Salzburg until you reach the exit Bischofshofen. Continue until you reach St. Johann im Pongau. Then take the exit towards Taxenbach until you reach the Rauris Nord (North). From here follow Rauriserstrasse until you take a left into Marktstrasse, where Hotel Rauriserhof is located.
Directions by car from Slovenia:
First you drive towards Ljubljana, from there towards Jesenice and then towards Salzburg. Change to the A10 towards Salzburg until you reach the exit Bischofshofen. Continue until you reach St. Johann im Pongau. Then take the exit towards Taxenbach until you reach the Rauris Nord (North). From here follow Rauriserstrasse until you take a left into Marktstrasse, where Hotel Rauriserhof is located.
