Panning for Gold

TRY YOUR LUCK - PAN FOR GOLD IN THE RAURISER VALLEY

The Rauriser Valley looks back onto a rich history of gold mining. For the first time gold was found here about 2000 years ago. 10% of the world's gold resources came from this region. The mines were closed in the last century and only a few hopeful gold panners have tried their luck since.
Today you can try! There are two very picturesque spots in the valley that offer to pan for gold. So even if you don't find a treasure you certainly will feel rewarded by the beauty of the surroundings. The washing places are located at the Heimalm and just after the Bodenhaus in the direction Talschluss Kolm Saigurn.

Washing gold is fun for the whole family, but be careful once it starts glittering in the pan, motivation grows - plan enough time ...
